Two teenagers, best friends and first loves, find themselves separated when one of them is sent to school in a distant town. As they try to keep their friendship alive through letter writing and infrequent visits, they find their love for each other growing stronger as obstacles try to get in their way and keep them apart.

This was very slow paced, but was visually impressive and just sweet enough to be endearing. The song at the end was a little too sentimental, but the opening chapter of the poor boy trying to get to his destination whilst all the trains were completely against him was actually quite tensely set out.
